This is the second mini-event of Kegels and Kama, 2019, and takes place on the 16th of February, the first weekend of the Pregnancy awareness week.

As a mommy working in the fitness industry I know how little information there is out there that really covers Mommy’s health, core-pelvic floor health and dysfunctions pre, during and after pregnancy care for mom, how and when to return SAFELY back to exercise or fitness.

From the word go we are bombarded with info on babie’s health during and then after pregnancy, but not much on Mom’s health regarding pelvic floor and core health, symptoms to look out for indicative of core- and pelvic floor dysfunctions. Too many mommies return to exercise to lose weight and then end up with incontinence, prolapse, diastasis and more…and most mom’s have never heard about these dysfunctions or symptoms to look out for. NO, it is not “normal” to leak when you hop, skip, jump, cough or sneeze because you had a baby…it is a symptom of your core-pelvic floor system trying to tell you it is out of balance and this is totally fixable and can be prevented with the right exercise.

The day will include various speakers covering topics related to women’s health during, before and after pregnancy, recovery and retraining after pregnancy, discount coupons from various sponsors and brands we love and who loves supporting women’s health, lucky draws, health smoothie on the day and we will end off the day with a glass of wine while asking and answering questions.

This event is for women of all ages and stages in life with an interest in health and wellness. Women who want to learn more about their bodies and how they can prevent, reduce or recover pelvic floor and core dysfunction post partum, post surgery and when reaching meno pause. You don’t have to be pregnant to join, maybe you had your baby a while ago and suffer from pregnant related recovery problems OR maybe you want to have a baby and just become more informed. This is the event for you.
